NSI – New Sound From The Islands (LM Production – LM 6021 - France - 1980)
190,00 € / Sold Out
NSI (New sound From the Islands) was a side project launched by Pierre Edouard & George Decimus, at the same time they were starting the legendary group Kassav'. This is the 1st album in Minty perfect condition including the funky cadence "An Nou (Couri Carnaval)" sung by Patrick St-Eloi. But the highlight of this album is clearly the massive "Wolo, Bwavo Disjoké" that I regulary spin (when I used to Dj !) this fusion between Disco, Funk & traditional Cadence with Electronic beats (probably a Linn Drum) is just amazing. Also don't miss "Gadé Sa Ki Ka Passé Dote Kote" that is probably the funkiest Kassav" tune with the beautiful voice of the future zouk queen Tanya St-Val. (also remind me the sound of the Jocelyn Moka).
One of most collectable proto zouk album which inspired the Digital Zandoli compilation we released with A1 digger Nico Skliris released in 2016 on Heavenly Sweetness.
This is the cleanest copy I ever had record is NM closer to Mint / Sleeve is flawless.
