Maitre Ledy Youla – Alou Kèlè Dabila - Soukabè ( Not On Label – 003 - France - 1986)
180,00 €
Private solo album by Mauritanian musician and singer who used to plays with Boiro National Band from Guinéa. In 1974 he joined the Rail Band of Mali where he played with Mory Kanté amongst others. In the early 80s he emerged as saxophonist of the Salif Keita's band "Les Ambassadeurs" from Ivory Coast. After leaving "Les Ambassadeurs" in 1984, he moved to France where he had this album produced and released in July of 1986. Includes the monster afro funk title track "Alou Kèlè Dabila" with stunning sax solo and great synth parts too. Also don't miss the heavy Afro Zouk "Yélé N'Na" that sounds very close to what Kassav produced at the same perido ! "Denin Gnana" is also a cool afro electro funk tune to play on dancefloors !
Always very hard to find in this perfect condition.
