Tee & Company – Spanish Flower (Three Blind Mice – TBM-5008 - Japan - 1978)

Essential fusion album by an all-star Japanese Jazz band featuring world famous pianist Masaru Imada, percussionist Yuji Imamura, Uematsu Takao & Kenji Mori on Bass Clarinet, Soprano Saxophone, Alto Flute, Flute. Mainly look after for "Spanish Flower" the 19 minutes long modal that was compiled by Jazzman on Spiritual Jazz 8 (Japan: Parts I & II - Esoteric, Modal And Progressive Jazz From Japan 1961-1983). Mori on sax really touch the deep modal Coltrane's sound, while Masayuki Takayanagi, another japan jazz legend brings a tasteful guitar solo.
"A Tree Frog" on side A is a true Post Bop evolving into a Bluesy Fusion madness !

A must have if you are collecting Japanese post bop modal jazz ! I also recommend their second album "Sonnet" - that we also have for sale - recorded at the same time and released the same year later.

Record looks NM and plays flawless (check our Instagram post for actual sound clips of the record for sale) / Sleeve is strong VG++ (unfortunately no OBI but it does includes the insert / booklet Very very light barely visible edge wear).
